Our Legacy Society recognizes donors and fundholders who have provided for the Greater Washington Community Foundation or created their philanthropic legacy through the Greater Washington Community Foundation via their fund or estate plans. We acknowledge the generous intentions of those who will make lasting contributions and tangible differences in the lives of many, both near and far.
Members Include Those Who Have:
- Included a bequest in their will or trust benefiting The Community Foundation
- Created a Legacy Plan with The Community Foundation
- Named The Community Foundation in another planned gift such as a Charitable Remainder Trust or Gift Annuity, or as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA, or other investment
- Established a permanently endowed fund with The Community Foundation
